ELECTRICAL WIRING

NOTE: The electrical wiring must be carried out in conformity with the regulations in force in the countries of destination, and
by qualified personnel.
Riello S.p.A. cannot accept any responsibility for modifications or connections other than those shown in these diagrams.
Use flexible cables according to EN 60 335-1 Regulations:
• if in PVC sheath, use at least H05 VV-F
• if in rubber sheath, use at least H05 RR-F.
All the wires to connect to the burner plugs 9)(A) must enter through the cable grommets, which must be fitted into the relevant holes in
the left hand or right hand plate. To do this, first undo the screws 10), then split the plate into its parts 11) and 12) and remove the mem-
brane press-outs from the holes.

NOTES
The models RS 70 - 100 VA three-phase leave the factory with an electrical supply setting of 400 V. If 230 V power supply is used, change the
motor connection from star to delta and change the setting of the thermal relay as well.
The RS 7 0 - 100 VA burners have been type-approved for intermittent operation. This means they should be compulsor ily stopped a t least
once every 24 hours to enable the control box to perform a check of its own efficiency at start-up. Burner halts are normally provided for auto-
matically by the boiler remote control system.
If this is not the case, a time switch should be fitted in series to IN to provide for burner shutdown at least once every 24 hours.
These burners are also suitable for continuous operation if they are fitted with the Landis LGK 16.333 A27 control box (interchangeable with
the Landis LFL 1.333 control box of the burner).
WARNING:
!
- Do not invert the neutral with the phase in the electrical supply line. An inversion would lead to lockout due to ignition
failure.
- Replace the components only with original spare parts.

THERMAL RELAY ADJUSTMENT (RS 70 - 100 VA three-phase)
This is require d to avo id motor burn -out in the event
increase in power absorption caused by a missing phase.
• If th e mo tor is star-driven, 400 V, the cu rsor must be positioned on
"MIN".
• If it is delta-driven, 230 V, the cursor is positioned on "MAX".
Even if the
scale of the th ermal r elay do es not include rate d motor
absorption at 400 V, protection is still ensured in any case.
