a voltage of 1.2 V and are therefore not suitable.
The mains adapter is part of the medical electrical system. When
using the device with a mains adapter, please only use the visomat
mains adapter, which has been specially tested for medical devices.
(See "Accessories" on page 53).
The power cord is classed as an isolator used to disconnect the device
from the electricity supply. Make sure that the power cord is always
easily accessible so that the device can be disconnected from the
electricity supply in an emergency.
If the device is not to be operated for an extended period of time,
please remove the batteries. In principle, all batteries can leak.
Do not throw batteries onto a fire. They may explode or leak.
The device may only be used with the original parts and original ac-
cessories. When using any other parts, the device may be damaged,
thereby endangering the user.
Never open or modify the device (except for replacing the batteries).
Before use, check that the device is operating reliably and is in proper
condition. Do not use the device if it is damaged, as this can lead to
injuries or inaccurate measurements.
The inflating and measuring procedure can be interrupted by pressing
the Start/Stop button or by removing the cuff. The device then stops
the inflation procedure and deflates the cuff.
If the device malfunctions or is faulty, please refer to the troubleshooting
guide starting on page 51, or contact customer service (see page 51).
Any serious adverse effects linked to the product must be reported to
the manufacturer and the relevant authorities in the member state in
