- Page 9 Cut the zipties securing your handlebars to your frame and place them safely to the side. Unlock your battery and remove it by rotating it away from the bike.
- Page 10 Find the battery charger and domestic power cable in the small parts box. Locate the charging port on the drive side of the battery. Pull back the rubber cover and plug in the charging cable.
- Page 11 Make sure the charge indicator lights begin to blink green. A full charge will take a few hours but you will be able to use the battery with a partial charge by the time you are done setting up your bike.
- Page 12 Install the RFA KickBack Set up your (4) M8 bolts with 2 washer each.

- Page 14 Place the KickBack so that the 2 ovalized holes on each side line up with the bosses on the inside of the chain stay.
- Page 15 Install each M8 bolt with either a long 5mm ball- head hex wrench or a short L-shaped 5mm hex wrench one at a time. Tighten the first half of the threads so that you have slack to move the bracket around to align for the other three bolts.
- Page 16 Once all bolts are installed, finish installing and snug down till tight.
- Page 17 installing front fender Carefully lift the front of the bike and deploy the kickstand. * You may want to add something weighted to the rear rack to keep the bike from tipping forward.
- Page 18 Remove the packaging around the fork and remove the thru-axel with a 6 mm Allen wrench.
- Page 19 The hardware for your fender is already installed in your fork. Please remove the M6 nyloc nut and L-bracket.
- Page 20 Install your fender using the M6 bolt already in the fork. The order should be fender tab, L-bracket, washer, M6 nyloc. Tighten the M6 bolt using a 10mm box wrench and a 4mm hex wrench.
- Page 21 The fender strut hardware is already installed in your fork. Remove the two M5 bolts with a 3mm hex wrench.
- Page 22 Use a 3 mm Allen wrench to attach the outer support arms of the fender to the lower fork- mounting points with the two M5 bolts.

- Page 24 Adjust your light position angle that fits your riding needs best. Secure the two mount joints with a 4mm Allen.

- Page 29 When inserting the thru axle, be aware that the internal cylinder is aligned with bearings and hub caps. If you see that the internal cylinder is off, use a screwdriver or pen to align before inserting the thru axle. *This picture shows the internal cylinder out of alignment towards the bottom of the hub and with the drive side hub cap removed for illustrative purposes.
- Page 30 Re-insert your thru-axel, and tighten with a 6 mm Allen wrench.
- Page 31 Install the Stabilizer Spring Locate the Stabilizer Spring and spring sleeve in the small parts box.
- Page 32 Remove the L-bracket from the eyelet bolt on the underside of the down tube with an 8mm box wrench.
- Page 33 Reinsert the eyelet bolt and nut. Tighten down just before snug, so that the eyelet bolt can spin a little.
- Page 34 Hook the Stabilizer Spring to the L-bracket on the fork.
- Page 35 Use an Allen wrench or screwdriver to pull the other end through the eye-bolt.
- Page 36 Tighten to snug the eyelet bolt nut with an 8mm bow wrench.

- Page 38 INSTALLING PEDALS Use a 15mm pedal wrench and with the right pedal, start clockwise threading the pedal bolt into the crank arm. Once initially threaded you can backpedal while holding the pedal bolt in place. The left pedal has a reverse thread so you will need to turn the pedal bolt counter clockwise to tighten it.
- Page 39 installing stem and handlebars Remove your top cap and the cardboard spacer from fork steerer.
- Page 40 Install your handlebar stem over the fork steerer with the handlebar oriented with the shifter on the right and display on the left.
- Page 41 Insert and tighten the top cap to a quarter turn passed snug.
- Page 42 Allign the handlebars and stem with the front tire.
- Page 43 Tighten the stem bolts equally, a turn or two at a time, until a half a turn passed snug. If you have a torque wrench tighten to 5-7nm.
- Page 44 CONNECTING E-SYSTEM Use the provided Shimano lead-connector tool from the small parts box to insert the display cable into the small port under the display. You should feel a securing click when the connection is made.
- Page 45 Reinstall your battery by sliding it into the cradle and rotating towards the bike frame until it clicks into place.
- Page 46 Install the RFA FootRests Pick the RFA FootRest that corresponds to the side of the bike you are installing it on first. The flat plate is installed on the bike frame towards the front of the bike and the clamping ring is installed around the UtilityRack toward the rear of the bike.
- Page 47 Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove the top of the clamp located on the back end of the FootRest. Keep the top of the clamp and the hardware nearby.
- Page 48 Remove the WheelSkirts. Locate the installation front threads on the bike frame.
- Page 49 Position the FootRest on the bike and loosely thread the two 8 mm bolts through the front mounting plate and into the threads on the frame. When both bolts are loosely in, tighten them all the way tight.
- Page 50 Attach the top portion of the rear clamp over the bottom rail of the UtilityRack. Loosely thread two 4 mm bolts with washers into the top of the clamp. Once both bolts are threaded in, alternate between each until just snug. Do not over tighten.
- Page 51 Reattach the RFA WheelSkirts. The RFA assembly is complete and you are ready to ride!
