The FM reception is poor.
Use a 75-ohm coaxial cable (not supplied) to
connect the receivi2r
to an
outdoor _
antelllla as
shown below. If you connect the receiver to an
outdoor antenna, ground it against lightning. To
prevent a gas explosion, do no[ connect the ground
wile to a gas pipe.

• Check that the antennas are connected securely.
Adjust _he antennas and conilect all external
antenna if ilecessary.
• The signal strength of the statio]ls is too weak
(when tuning in with automatic tuning). Use
di_ct tuning.
• Make su_ you set the tuning interval correctly
(when tuning in AM stations with di_ct tunhlg).
• No stations have been p_se_ or the p_se_
stations have been clea_ed (when tuning by
scanning preset stations). Preset the stations
(page 33).
• Press DISPLAY so that the fi_quency appeal<_ in
the display.
RDS does not work.*
• Make sine that youhe tuned to an FM RDS
station.
• Select a stronger FM station.
The RDS information that you want does not
appear.*
Contact tile radio station and find out whether they
actually provide the service in question. If so, the
service may be temporarily out of order.
There is no picture or an unclear picture appears
on the TV screen or monitor.
• Select the appropriate tUllCtion on tile leceiver.
• Set your TV to the appropriate input mode.
• Move your TV away from the audio comlxments.
The remote does not function.
• The VIDEO3. TV/SAT, PHONO, AUX.
SOURCE, MPX/DUAL, ANALOG DIRECT, 12
and ON SCREEN buttons on the remote ale not
available fi}r HT-DDW84g (RM-PP411 only).
• The MULTI CIt button on the l_mote is not
available the HT-DDW74g (RM-U306 only).
• Poutt the remote at the remote sensor [] on the
receiver.
• Check that the mode of the _emote corresponds
1o that of tile imceiver (pages 37 and 42)
(RM-PP411 only).
• Check that you select AV2 as the command
mode of the receiver (page 37) (RM-U3g6 only).
• Remove any obstacles in the path between the
remote and tile receiver.
• Replace both batmries ill the remote with new
ones, if tbey are weak.
• Make sine you select the correct function on the
remote.
• If the remote is set to operate the TV only. ttse
the remote to select a somee or component other
than TV before operating tile receiver or other
component.
• Press MAIN MENU on the lemote before you
use the _/t_/./. buttons for receiver operation
(RM-PP411 only).
