There is no sound from a specific component.
• Check that the component is connected correc{]y
to the audio input jacks _r that comboneat.
• Cileck that the cord(s) used for the connection is
(are) fully insemed into the jacks on both the
receiver and the component.
• Cileck that you have selected the correct
componer tt o_t
the
receiver.
There is no sound from one of the front
speakers.
Connect a pair of headphones Io the PHON Eg jack
verify that sound is output from the headphones
(page 22).
If only one channel
is output from {he headphones,
the component
may not be connected
to the
receiver
correctly.
Check tha{ all {he cords are fully
inserted
into {he jacks on both the receiver
and the
cornponenL
If both channels
are ou{pat from the headphones,
the front speaker
may not be connoted
{o the
receiver
correctly.
Check the connection
of the
Iron{ speaker which
is not outpufung
any sound.
The left and right sounds are unbalanced
or
reversed.
• Check
that tile speakers
and components
are
connec{ed
correctly
and securely.
• Adjust balance
parameters
in the LEVEL menu.
There is severe hum or noise.
• Check
that tile speakers
and components
are
connected
securely.
• Check
that the connecting
cords are away from a
transformer
or motor, and at leas{ 3 meters away
from a TV set or fluorescent
lighL
• Move your TV away from {he audio componen{s.
• The plugs and jacks are dir{y. Wipe lhem with a
cloth sligNly

with alcohol.
There is no sound or only a very low-level
sound
is heard from the center or/and
surround
speaker.
• Make sure the sound field function
is on (press
MODE).

level (page 20).

speaker
