Connect to the Management Console

Configure the Switch for Use
After the ISW-Series switch is installed and powered on, use the instructions in the
following topics to activate and verify your switch.
Connect to the Management Console
The console port on the top of the switch is used to establish a serial connection
between the switch and a terminal emulator or a computer with terminal emulation
software so that the switch can be managed locally.
