Thermo-electric flame failure
device
The cooktop is equipped with a flame
failure device. If a gas flame is
extinguished, e.g. by food boiling over
or by a draught, and re-ignition does
not work, the gas supply is switched
off. This prevents the release of gas. If
you turn the knob to the burner off
position, the burner is ready for use
again.
The flame failure device operates
independently from the electricity
supply. This means that it will still
work if the cooktop is used during a
power cut.
