RECORDING
Make sure ...
Power must be turned on.
• Insert a cassette tape with its erase prevention tab in place. (If necessary , rewind or fast forward the tape to the
point at which you want to begin recording.)
NORMAL RECORDING
You can only watch the same TV program that is being
recorded.

Select
the channel to be recorded
Press number buttons on the re¬
mote control or the CH ▼ or ▲
button.

Select the tape speed
Press SPF.F.D button to select the
desired tape speed (SP/LP/ SI .P).
3 Begin recording
Press RECORD button. The
RFC indicator flashes.
SKIPPING SOME MATERIALS
DURING RECORDING
Press PAUSE/STILL button to
temporarily stop recording. The
REC indicator flashes.
Press PAUSE/STILL or RE¬
CORD button to resume record¬
ing.
NOTES:
• To prevent tape damage, after five minutes, the
TV/VCR will automatically return to the Recording
mode.
• When in the Pause/Still mode, a display showing 5
"I" marks will appear on the screen. Each "I" mark
represents one minute of Pause time. You may refer
to this display for remaining pause time available.
• If "CLOSED CAP TION ION]" is selected from the
"CLOSED CAPTION SETUP" menu, the On Screen
Display will appear for 5 seconds, then disappear.
If you want to check the remaining pause time avail¬
able using the On Screen Display, press DISPLAY
button. The On Screen Display will appear for 5 sec¬
onds.
4 Stop recording
Press STOP button when recording is completed.
