PRESET FOR USE
For the first time you may want to select language (English or Espanol=Spanish) and preset the tuner to scan only
the channels you receive in your area. You must use the remote control for the following steps.
NOTE: Channel memory programming is not needed when using a converter/descrambler box. Just select the
TV/VCR channel selector to the output channel of the cable box or satellite box (Ex CH3). Then select the channel
to be viewed on the cable box or satellite box.
PRESET FOR THE FIRST TIME

Plug the TV/VCR power cord
Plug the TV/VCR power cord into a stand¬
ard AC outlet.

Turn on the TV/VCR

Press POWER button to turn on the TV/VCR.

Select "ENGLISH" or "ESPANOL"
Select _
"ENGLISH"

"ESPANOL=Spanish"
using
F.FWD/V or REW/-^ button.
"[ ]" marks indicate the selected
language.

Begin auto preset
Press PI.AY/A or STOP/T but¬
ton to point to "AUTO PRE¬
SET".
Then press F.FWD/^ button.
The tuner scans and memorizes all the active channels
in your area.
NOTES:
• The TV/VCR distinguishes between standard TV
channels and CATV automatically.
• If you want to play or record a video tape BEFORE
presetting the tuner, you must press MENU button.
To preset the tuner again, see "AUTO PRESET
AGAIN".
5 After scanning
The tuner stops on the lowest memorized channel.
(TV mode: from CH 02/ CATV mode: from CH 01)
If you want to recall the selected channels, you can se¬
lect the desired channel directly with the remote control
number button or CH A or ▼.
TO RETURN TO TV MODE WHEN
SCANNING
Press MENU button in scanning mode.

DELETING (OR ADDING)
PRESET CHANNEL
The channels you no longer receive or seldom watch can
be deleted from the memory. (Of course, you can add
the deleted channel into the memory again.)

Select "CHANNEL SET UP"
Press MENU button.
Press PLAY/A or STOP/T but¬
ton repeatedly to point to
"CHANNEL SET UP".
Then, press F.FWD/^ button.

Select ADD/DELETE CH"
Press PLAY/A or STOP/T but¬
ton repeatedly to point to
"ADD/DELETE CH".
Press F.FWD/^ button.

Enter the desired channel number
Press PI.AY/A or STOP/T but¬
ton repeatedly until your desired
channel number appears. (You
can also use the number buttons
or the CH A/T button to enter it)
(Example: CH8)

Delete (or add) it from (into) memory
Press F.FWD/^ or REW/^ button. The channel num¬
ber changes to light red. The channel is deleted from
memory.
• To delete another channel, repeat steps [3] and [4],
• If you press F.FWD/^ or REW/^ button again, the
channel is memoriz.ed again.
Added channel is in light blue.
Deleted channel is in light red._
5 Exit the channel setup mode
Press MENU button to returns to TV mode.
NOTE: To confirm that channel(s) has been deleted or
added, press CH A or T button.
