Install the Hose* and Handshower
•
Wrap the threads on the shower arm with 2-3 layers of good quality plumb-
ers’ thread tape.

Place a black rubber washer in the short hose connector end. Screw it firmly
to the shower arm.
•
Place the screen washer in the long hose connector end. Screw it firmly to the
handshower, taking care not to cross-thread. Tighten hand-tight only – use of
a wrench may damage the decorative finish.
•
Feed the hose through the cradle on the shower arm mount, wall-mounted
handshower holder, or wallbar slider. Lower the handshower until the hose
connector end is seated firmly.

Note: if protection against back siphonage is desired, or is required by local
code, and is not provided by other means, a backflow preventer such as
Hansgrohe model 06510 should be installed between the shower arm and
the hose.
* a hose is not included with the Retroaktiv handshower model 06127XX0 or Interaktiv
handshower model 06626XX0. Hansgrohe suggests the use of either a Hansgrohe
Techniflex or Novaflex handshower hose.
