The device works as a modular PROFIBUS slave. In contrast to a compact slave, a modular
PROFIBUS slave has a variable design and consists of several individual modules. The GSD
file contains a description of the individual modules along with their individual properties.
The modules are permanently assigned to the slots. When configuring the modules, it is
absolutely essential to observe the sequence/arrangement of the modules. Any gaps
between the configured modules must be filled with the EMPTY_MODULE.
