Types of Sub Codes

In addition to the audio signals used for recording
purposes, the DCC system is provided with
a function
for writing signals called "sub codes" which come In
handy for searching tracks during playback, editing
and recording.
Start markers and track numbers
When writing the sub codes, check that the accidental
erasure prevention tab on the DCC tape for recording
is set to the recording position.
Recording and marker editing are not possible on
prerecorded DCC music tapes.
