Endless Pools
Hydrostride

5.3 The next step is the gunite application. Prior to shooting gunite, it is CRITICAL that the openings of the PVC couplings,
threaded rods, and sacrificial bolts be covered. Gunite cannot be embedded in these areas. It is also CRITICAL that ALL
bonding connections are secured. It's important to closely monitor the mounting brackets during the gunite applica-
tion to ensure they remain in position and remain level.
After the gunite is shot up to the back of the mounting template, the template can be removed and the finish coat can be
applied. Again, the PVC couplings of the Hydrostride mounting bracket should extend a maximum of 1/2" (12,7mm) into
the finished pool. The coupling nuts of the grab bar mounting bracket should be flush with the finished pool wall, leaving
the sacrificial bolts just inside the finished pool wall for removal (Fig. 4A.11). Proceed to Section 6: Hydrostride Assem-
bly.
