    Hydrostride The Hydrostride can fit into virtually any swimming pool. For optimal use, it’s recommended that the Hydrostride is installed no closer than 18" (46cm) to any adjacent wall. In addition, 18" (46cm) of clearance is recommended at the rear of the Hydrostride.

    HYDROSTRIDE & GRAB BAR MOUNTING KIT INSTALLATION – GUNITE POOL A The Hydrostride and grab bar for the Hydrostride attach directly to the pool wall with the use of a wall mounting bracket. The mounting brackets are to be embedded into the pool wall as shown in Figures 4A.1. & 4A.2. The placement of the brack- ets on the pool wall is CRITICAL.

  • Page 13 ® 2. Loosely position the Hydrostride mounting bracket into the rebar grid of the pool so that the bottom edge of the bracket is 5-1/4" (13,3cm) above the expected finished pool floor. The thickness of the gunite and finish coat MUST be accounted for when positioning the bracket.

  • Page 17 ® 5.4 If the Hydrostride is to be recessed into the pool floor, it’s recommended to construct a mold using plywood, lumber, and the provided mounting template. The intent of the mold is to form the recessed area in the pool floor during the applica- tion of the gunite as shown in Figure 4A.12.
  • Page 18 Fig. 4A.14 5.7 Position and loosely hang the mold from the threaded rods of the Hydrostride mounting bracket, making sure the rods are at the top of the slotted holes in the mounting template. The bottom of the template represents the finished pool floor (gunite and finish coat).
  • Page 19 Endless Pools Hydrostride Installation ™ ® 5.8 Adjust the position of the mold on the threaded rods so that the PVC couplings extend a maximum of 1/2” (12,7mm) past the front of the mounting template. Use the additional flat washers and jam nuts to secure the mold in place during the gunite application.
  • Page 20 The recessed area should be sealed with an appropriate hydraulic cement without adding height to the floor. Again, the PVC couplings of the Hydrostride mounting bracket should extend a maximum of 1/2” (12,7mm) into the finished pool.     HYDROSTRIDE & GRAB BAR MOUNTING KIT INSTALLATION – GUNITE POOL WITH VINYL LINER The Hydrostride and grab bar for the Hydrostride attach directly to the pool wall with the use of a wall mounting bracket. Once installed, add approximately 3" (7,6cm) of water to add weight to the liner before cutting holes for the fittings and mounting holes.

    ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UNITED STATES (60HZ) (and countries with similar electrical requirements) The Endless Pools Hydrostride is ETL marked and CE listed. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is required for this product. A GFCI is a device that shuts off an electrical circuit when it detects that electricity is flowing along an unintended path.

    ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM (50HZ) (and countries with similar electrical requirements) The Endless Pools Hydrostride is ETL marked and CE listed. A Residual Current Device (RCD) is required for this product. An RCD is a device that shuts off an electrical circuit when it detects that electricity is flowing along an unintended path.

    (-8 female JIC x –6 male JIC) that were provided in the Hydrostride installation kit must be used. If a junction box was used and the 1/2" (12,7mm) run hoses are to be attached to the power unit, then these hoses will connect directly to the appropriate connections on the power unit (without the use of the hydraulic hose adapters).

    All Hydrostride shipments include bonding hardware. When installing the Hydrostride in a gunite pool OR a gunite pool with a vinyl liner, bonding clamps are to be attached to each threaded rod of the Hydrostride and grab bar mounting brackets which are typically tied to the rebar grid of the pool.

    Cathodic Protection Maintenance (Salt-Chlorine Pools ONLY) Endless Pools has provided a sacrificial zinc anode to draw any corrosion to itself and away from the Hydrostride. To maxi- mize the life span of Hydrostride, it is imperative that the Hydrostride be properly bonded and the sacrificial zinc anode be replaced after it has given up half its mass.
