Fuel filler flap emergency release
You can open the fuel filler flap by hand if the
power locking system should fail.

Opening the side trim
.. To remove t he right side trim, first remove
the retainer from the mounts

.. Turn both locking mechanisms 90° to the
left us ing a coin or a similar object and re-
move the locking mecha nisms .
.. Tilt the retainer upward and pull the tr im
out . Lay the trim down on it s side, because
there is a n electrical wire on the back.
Fuel filler door emergency release
The emergency release mechanism is located
behind the right side trim pane l in t he lug -
gage compartment.
.. Loosen the loop

and then pull on the loop carefully

Note
Only pull on the loop until you feel resist-
ance. You will not hear it releas e . Other-

Selective catalytic
reduction
General information
Appli es to vehicles: wi th diesel engine
On vehicles with se lective cata lytic reduc tion,
an urea solution (Ad Blue) is injected into the
exha ust system before a nitrogen oxide cata-
lytic converter to reduce nitrogen emissions.
The Ad Blue is st ored in a separate tank in the
vehicle. The Ad Blue usage accounts for ap-
proximately 0.5% to 1.2% of the diesel fue l
that is used.
You must refill the Ad Blue or have it refi lled
by your authorized Audi dea ler or q ua lified
workshop as soon as the Ad Blue refill mes-
sage appears in the instrument cluster

WARNING
Failure to heed AdBlue refil l information in
the inst rument cluster can preve nt t he ve-
hicle from be ing star ted and dr iven.
If

vehi cle canno t be drive n a nd a n emerge ncy
ar ises, personal inj ury can occu r .
- Always have the AdBlue tank refilled we ll
befo re t he tank runs dry.

Tips
- The instr ument cluster d isp lay ind icates
the distance remain ing that can be d riv-
en ¢ page 22 4 . If t he Ad Blue tank is
comple t ely empty, the eng ine will not
st art a gain afte r the igniti o n is swi tc hed
off.
- Ad Blue is req uired by law to ope rat e th is
vehicle .
