Kamai 7XM User Guide
Contents
Your Kamai 7XM is supplied with the correct power
adapter for your region. Depending on the choices
made by your service provider, your box may also
contain the optional accessories shown below.
The Kamai 7XM is protected with a clear plastic film.
This should be removed before use.

1. Connecting the Kamai 7XM to a TV
Warning! Before connecting or disconnecting the Kamai 7XM to
your TV using any kind of cable, frist switch off the Kamai 7XM, the
TV and all other devices (A/V amplifier etc.) and disconnect them
from the mains electrical supply.
You have a choice of ways to connect the audio and video produced
by the Kamai 7XM to your TV:
1. HDMI: Recommended for best quality. Connect an HDMI cable
from the HDMI output of the Kamai 7XM to the HDMI input of
your TV.
2. Analog A/V: Provides good quality in SD only. Composite video
with analog audio left/right. Connect the 3.5mm jack to the A/V
out port on the Kamai 7XM and connect the yellow RCA plug to the
yellow video port on your TV. Connect the red and white RCA plugs
to the red and white audio ports on your TV.
Connecting your television directly to the audio/video output of
your Set Top Box will assure a more vivid picture and enhance your
viewing enjoyment.
Connecting to a Network
Select from one of the following networking options.
Option 1
Connect an Ethernet cable from the Kamai 7XM to a cable/DSL
modem or Network Router.
(Routers/modems are not included with the Kamai 7XM. A cable may
be included if this option has been selected by your service provider.)
Option 2
Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the MoCA cable input on your
Kamai 7XM and connect the other end to the MoCA Network port on
your modem or MoCA adapter. Please contact your service provider
for further details.
(Coaxial cables are not included with the Kamai 7XM.)
Overview of the Kamai 7XM
Power/Activity LED:
Blue = on.
Blue flashing = infra-red (IR) command received /
Kamai 7XM starting up.
Red = standby.

2. Connecting the Kamai 7XM to an A/V
amplifier
Connect one end of an optical S/PDIF cable to the
S/PDIF optical output of the Kamai 7XM and the other
end of the cable to the S/PDIF optical input of your A/V
amplifier or home cinema system.
3. Connecting the Kamai 7XM to power
supply
Warning! The Kamai 7XM must only be used with the
power adapter provided with the product. Ensure you
have the right power adapter for your region. If you are
unsure, contact your service provider.
Connect the power adapter to the DC power input of
the Kamai 7XM, then insert the power adapter plug into
the mains supply.
