If installed, remove the processor mezzanine tray (Removing and replacing the processor mezzanine tray).
10. Disconnect the HPE Smart Storage Battery cable from the system board.
11. Remove the HPE Smart Storage Battery.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
