fabels and jackets of the corresponding discs.
This player can play the following nine types of dises without
using an adapter.
To prevent a malfunction, do not use an B-cm {3 in} adaptor
{for CD} of a 20-crm (8 in.) adaptor ffor LD}.

The jackets or iavels of VIDEO CD discs bear the following mark.
Tho VIDEO CD offers animated image playback with an equivatent
audio quality to MD and similar video quality to VHS.
1t features a digital signal compression technology (MPEG! which
allows continuous playback of digital video and audio for up to 74
minutes.
Some VIDEO COs are compatible with the Play Back Control (PBC)
feature which makes it possible to select the desited scene ot play
still image with menu operation
Playback control (PBC)
The PBC signal is recorded on VIDEO CDs (version 2.0) for use in
controlling the playback operation
The VIDEO CD with PBC compatibility includes the recording of menu
screens, which allow ta play video software using simplifiedinteractive
system oF retrieval function.
The PBC also allows te display two kinds of still images, high-
definition images and standard images
High-definition still image
When a VIDEO CD including the recording of high-definition stil
images is played, still images can be enjoyed with a four times higher
resolution than moving images
