has idormation, cautions, and warnine that must be. followed to ensure safe operation and to keep the instru-
ment in a
safe
condition.

REMOVED. THlS MAINTENANCE SHOULD BE PERFORMED ONLY BY
QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL WHO ARE AWARE OF THE
HAZARDS INVOLVED (FOR EXAMPLE. FlRE AND ELECTRICAL

CONNECTED
TO
THE
COUNTER MUST BE CONNECTED TO A PROTECTIVE EARTH
GROUNDED SOCKET. ANY INTERRUPTION OF THE PROTECTIVE
EARTH GROUNDING WILL CREATE A POTENTIAL SHOCK HAZARD
THAT COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
WARNING
ONLY 250-VOLT FUSES OF THE SPECIFIED TYPE WlTH THE RE-
QUIRED CURRENT RATING SHOULD BE USED. DO NOT USE
REPAIRED FUSES OR SHORT ClRCUlTED FUSEHOLDERS. TO DO SO
COULD CAUSE A SHOCK OR FlRE HAZARD.
8-5. Whenever
it
is suspected that fuse protection or protective earth grounding has been defeated, the
HP 5334B must be disconnected from the power lines and operation must not be allowed until the situation
is
corrected.
