Test Pads and Points

For greater testability during the evaluation and development process, the B111EVB board has the following
testing facilities:
two test pads, J107 and J108, that duplicate some of the pins on the interface connector J106. You may use
an oscilloscope, multi-meter, or any other measuring device to connect to the pins of test pads for signal
inspection.
J107
62 test points
– ten ground test points, TP102, TP103, TP110...TP113, TP116...TP119 that are connected to a ground
plane. These test points make it easier to connect a measuring device to ground when you are probing
B111EVB components.
– three voltage test points, TP104, TP105, and TP106 that are used to verify the voltages across the
B111EVB.
– TP104 connects with the positive terminal of the backup battery and with one of the terminals of
a 1 kOhm resistor R139; TP105 connects with the other terminal of a 1 kOhm resistor R139 and
with the VBAT rail, which extends directly to the VBAT pin no. 51 on the J106 connector. You can
use these two test points to measure the current drawn by the connected B111 board when an
external power supply has been discharged or removed.
– TP106 measures the voltage of the 3V3 power rail, which is used to power various components
of the B111EVB.
– five GPIO test points, TP107, TP108, TP109, TP114, and TP115 that are used to verify the voltages
across the STAT and REC LEDs.
– 45 interface test points that are used to verify signals of RS232 and USB interfaces.
