TPM/Port 80 Header
The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80, which
is available from Supermicro (optional). A TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that
supports encryption and authentication in hard drives. It allows the motherboard to deny
access if the TPM associated with the hard drive is not installed in the system. See the layout
below for the location of the TPM header. Please go to the following link for more information
on the TPM: http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/TPM.pdf.
NCSI Connector
The NCSI header (JNCSI) is used to connect a Network Interface Card (NIC) to the
motherboard so that the BMC is able to poll the temperature reading from it.
Note: For detailed instructions on how to configure Network Interface Card (NIC) settings,
please refer to the Network Interface Card Configuration User's Guide posted on the web
page under the link: http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/.
I-SATA 3.0 and S-SATA 3.0 Ports
The X12DPT-B6 has eight I-SATA 3.0 ports (I-SATA0~7) and six S-SATA ports (S-SATA0-1,
S-SATA2~5). These SATA ports, supported by the C621A chipset, provide serial-link signal
connections.
