Other Accessories

At the time of writing, the following accessories were available for the D70S.

♦ EN-EL3a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery: Additional EN-EL3a batteries
Batteries/
Chargers/ are available from local retailers and Nikon service representatives.
♦ EN-EL3 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery: These batteries can be used with
AC adapters
both the D100 and the D70.
♦ EH-5 AC Adapter: Use the EH-5 to power the camera for extended
periods.
♦ MS-D70 CR2 Holder (with Terminal Cover): The MS-D70 can be used
to power the camera with CR2 lithium batteries (
available at many retail outlets.
♦ MH-19 Multi Charger: The MH-19 can be used to recharge the fol-
lowing batteries: EN-EL3a and EN-EL3 rechargeable Li-ion batteries,
MN-30 batteries for the F5 camera (with MC-E1), MN-15 batteries
for the F100 camera (with MC-E2), or EN-3 batteries for the E3 cam-
era. The charger can charge two pairs of batteries of different types,
for a total of four batteries, and comes with a twelve-volt cable for
connection to a cigarette-lighter socket.
♦ Diopter-Adjustment Viewfi nder Lenses: To accommodate individual dif-

–4, –3, –2, 0, +0.5, +1, +2, and +3 m
be inserted simply by sliding them over the viewfi nder eyepiece; note
that the rubber viewfi nder eyepiece cup can not be used with lenses
that correct for near-sightedness. Use diopter adjustment lenses only
if the desired focus can not be achieved with the built-in diopter
adjustment control (–1.6 to +0.5 m
before purchase to ensure that the desired focus can be achieved.
♦ DG-2 Magnifi er: The DG-2 magnifi es the scene displayed in the
viewfi nder for close-up photography, copying, telephoto lenses, and
other tasks that call for added precision. Requires eyepiece adapter
(available separately).
♦ Eyepiece Adapter: Use to attach the DG-2 Magnifi er to the D70S.
♦ DR-6 Right-Angle Viewing Attachment: The DR-6 attaches at a right
angle to the viewfi nder eyepiece, allowing the image in the view-
fi nder to be viewed from above when the camera is in the horizontal
shooting position.
