M. Replacing the Power Cord
CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing
NOTE: Both the power cord and motor cord will be replaced as they are part of a single assembly.
1. Remove the (7) screws from the handle grip. Separate grip to expose wiring.
2. Disconnect the black wire lead from the switch by squeezing the release toward the back of the flag
connector as shown in Fig. A.
3. Disconnect the white lead from the white motor cord lead. This connection can be very tight. Use two
pairs of needle nose pliers to separate them. Grip each connector as shown in figure D and press the
tips of the pliers together. Discard old power cord.
