Word Clock Output Timing (SPG-8260-W only)

The SPG-8260-W includes an TTL-level Word Clock Output Co-Timing option in the card-edge
1
menus
and DashBoard. This option enables you to specify which video output the Word Clock will
follow. If there is any change, in timing or format, the Word Clock attempts to re-lock thereby
causing a glitch in the Word Clock timing. The Word Clock outputs are framed as per AES11-2009.
• Word Clock Output Timing with an AES/Work Clock Reference — If the reference into the
SPG-8260-W is AES or Word Clock, the Word Clock output will be co-timed to the reference.
If you are using a AES or Word Clock reference input, ensure the provided reference signal does
not exceed 4Vp-p.
• Word Clock Output Timing with a Video Reference — If the reference into the SPG-8260-W is a
video signal, or if the SPG-8260-W is set to the internal reference, the Word Clock output will be
co-timed to one of the video outputs.
1. This function is only available on legacy cards with the 4-character display and the SW1 and SW2 switches.
