FS-1-WL Connection Guide
This explains how to use BLE MIDI to pair (connect) the FS-1-WL to the AC-22LX over a wireless connection.
* The Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (Model: BT-DUAL, sold separately) is needed when wirelessly pairing the FS-1-WL with the AC-22LX.
See the Owner's Manual for how to attach the adaptor.
What is "BLE MIDI"?
"BLE MIDI" is the technology used to transmit and receive MIDI messages
wirelessly via Bluetooth® LE standard.
This is officially known as "MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy".
Connecting the AC-22LX, FS-1-WL and the
AC-22LX Editor at the Same Time
Follow these steps to connect.
Connection 1: connect the FS-1-WL to the AC-22LX

Connection 1: Connect the AC-22LX to the FS-1-WL

Turn the AC-22LX on.
The Bluetooth indicator on the BT-DUAL blinks. If the indicator is
unlit, press the BT-DUAL pairing button to make it blink.

Turn the FS-1-WL on (switch the power on towards the
MIDI side), and move the device nearby.
3.
Press the [Bluetooth] (INSTRUMENT) button on the
FS-1-WL.
The Bluetooth (INSTRUMENT) indicator on the FS-1-WL blinks white,
and pairing begins.
The Bluetooth indicators on both units stop blinking and remain
lit when pairing is finished, and now the AC-22LX and FS-1-WL are
paired.
MEMO
If you want to disconnect the FS-1-WL, long-press the [Bluetooth]
(INSTRUMENT) button.

Use a USB cable to connect the AC-22LX. to your computer.
In the [Start] menu, choose [All Programs] Ø [AC-22LX

Mac OS users
From the Finder, in the application/BOSS/AC-22LX folder, double-
click [AC-22LX Editor (.app)].

NOTE
¹ The AC-22LX and FS-1-WL are connected automatically next time
they are restarted. To connect the AC-22LX Editor, you must perform
"Connection 2" each time.
¹ The FS-1-WL remembers the information for the last Bluetooth
device to which it was connected. When connecting to a different
device after connecting to the AC-22LX, or when turning off
the power while the Bluetooth indicator is blinking white
(not connected), or when doing a factory reset of the FS-1-WL, the
unit does not pair automatically. In this case, you must start from
"Connection 1" to configure the settings.
¹ When using Bluetooth audio with your mobile device, first connect
the mobile device to AC-22LX via Bluetooth audio then connect
AC-22LX to FS-1-WL.
