EV-1-WL Connection Guide
(Connect with the ME-90)

This guide shows you how to pair the EV-1-WL
wirelessly to the ME-90 using BLE MIDI.
"Pairing" involves registering the MIDI device that
you want to use (making the devices recognize each
other) with the EV-1-WL.
Pairing the EV-1-WL with another compatible
device lets you control that device via MIDI from the
EV-1-WL.
* You must update the ME-90 to Ver. 1.03 or later
to use the EV-1-WL.

What is "BLE MIDI"?
"BLE MIDI" is the technology used to transmit and
receive MIDI messages wirelessly via
standard.
This is officially known as "MIDI over Bluetooth Low
Energy".

  • Page 2 Connecting the EV-1-WL to the ME-90 Turn on the ME-90 (to which the BT-DUAL is attached) and the EV-1-WL, and place them nearby. Hold down the pairing button on the BT-DUAL until the Bluetooth indicator blinks rapidly. Make sure that the Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL is blinking white.
  • Page 3 Press the [Bluetooth] button on the EV-1-WL. The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL rapidly blinks white, and pairing begins. The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL stops blinking and remains lit white when pairing is finished. The EV-1-WL and EV-1-WL are now connected.
  • Page 4 STEP 2: Connect the EV-1-WL and the BOSS TONE STU- DIO for ME-90 (iOS/Android) Turn both the ME-90 and the EV-1-WL on, and place them near each other. Hold down the pairing button on the BT-DUAL until the Bluetooth indicator blinks rapidly.
  • Page 5 The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL stops blinking and remains lit when pairing is finished, and the EV-1-WL and the ME-90 are connected. Quickly press the [Bluetooth] button on the EV-1-WL twice to change the Bluetooth indicator to blink blue.
