BIOS
The KBox A-151-TGL uses the AMI Aptio V uEFI BIOS based on the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (uEFI)
specification and the Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for EFI. The uEFI BIOS preferences are preset and do not
require further adjustment for operation.
The UEFI BIOS setup menus and available selections may vary. For specific information on the BIOS for your product,
contact Kontron Support.
UEFI only! No legacy support and no Master Boot Record (MBR) installation.
The BIOS features listed in this user guide are open to change and may not be available in
the latest version of the BIOS. For the latest BIOS Information, visit Kontron's Customer
Section.

10.1. Starting the uEFI BIOS

The uEFI BIOS's Setup program provides quick and easy access to the individual function settings for control or
modification of the uEFI BIOS configuration. The Setup program allows for access to various functions that include
sub-menus with further functions and sub-menus.
To start the uEFI BIOS Setup program, follow the steps below:
Switch on the product.
Wait until the first characters appear on the screen (POST messages or splash screen).
Press the <DEL> key.
If the uEFI BIOS is password-protected, a request for password will appear. Enter either the User Password or the
Supervisor Password, press <RETURN>, and proceed with step 5.
The BIOS setup utility appears in the Main menu.
Using the hot key navigation system, users can navigate through the BIOS. The hot key legend bar is located at the
bottom of the Setup screens. For a list of navigation hot keys available in the legend bar, see Table 9: Navigation Hot
Keys Available in the Legend Bar.

<Left/Right> arrows selects major Setup menus on menu bar, for example, Main or Advanced
<Up/Down> arrows select fields in the current menu, for example, Setup function or sub-screen

<ESC> key exits a major Setup menu and enters the Exit Setup menu
Pressing the <ESC> key in a sub-menu displays the next higher menu level
<RETURN>
<RETURN> key executes a command or selects a submenu
