7 Move Medium—A5h

Command Description

The MOVE MEDIUM command asks the library to move media from one element location to
another. The locations are identified by their element addresses.
The MODE SENSE data contains a matrix with the valid element source-destination
combinations for the MOVE MEDIUM command, described on page 22. Send a READ ELEMENT
STATUS command to the Spectra 2K library to find out current element addresses and
which elements contain media.
The table below shows the CDB for the MOVE MEDIUM command. Values and meanings of
field names in bold are further described in Table 7-2.
