Compile the Kernel To successfully install a Gator Architecture library (Spectra 12K, Spectra 20K, or Spectra 64K library) on a Linux server, you must first compile the kernel to handle the Qlogic driver. 1. Run make mrproper prior to running make xconfig. This will give you a clean starting point.

Installing a Gator Architecture Library on a Red Hat 7 Linux Server with a Qlogic qla2xxx Fibre Channel Controller 6. Select Install auto-detected SCSI jukebox. It should show you that the Gator library is configured as either a Spectra 10K or a Spectra 215, depending on how you set up the partition.
