Download SMARTTOOL Setup File
Please request to download and install SMARTTOOL2 software on your PC through
your Emerson sales representative.
For more details on how to install SMARTTOOL and to apply for a license, please
check SMARTTOOL User Manual, "Installation and Update" section.
Please connect to the actuator, save the setup file and provide it for further analysis.
If the display does not come up by powering on the main power line, the display can
be powered separately by connecting 24 V DC to terminals 1 and 2 to download the
setup file.

Observe Error Code on the Display
Upon warning or error, the bottom line of the display will show a failure code and
text message. This event will be also logged in the history. If there are more than one
warning or error occurred, the different messages are alternating on the screen.
A matrix on various failure codes including recommended actions can be found on
the RTS IOM, "History Entries" section.
A detailed error code list including root causes can be provided in a separate manual
according to your training level.
