Structure of the article number

The article number of the basic motor is a combination of digits and letters. It is divided into three
hyphenated blocks.
Possible combinations are listed in Catalog D 21.4

Note that not every theoretical combination is possible in practice.
Structure of the article number for servo geared motors
For a geared motor, the motor article number is supplemented by one or several order codes.
The order codes define the gearbox.
Description
SIMOTICS S-1FK7
Order codes Planetary gear box SP+, gearbox type and gearbox size, including a definition
of the ratio and shaft end
Planetary gearbox NP+, gearbox type and gearbox size, including a definition
of the ratio and shaft end
SIMOTICS S-1FT7
Order codes Planetary gear box SP+, gearbox type and gearbox size, including a definition
of the ratio and shaft end
SIMOTICS S-1FK2
SIMOTICS S-1FT2
Order codes Gearbox type "NRB", gearbox size, number of stages
Gearbox type "NRK", gearbox size, number of stages
Gearbox type "NLC", gearbox size, number of stages
In addition to order code A☐☐, B☐☐ or C☐☐, you must select the following
order codes:
Gearbox ratio
Shaft extension and lubrication
Output direction of the gearbox shaft to the right (standard)
Output direction of the gearbox shaft upward
Output direction of the gearbox shaft to the left
Output direction of the gearbox shaft downward

Orientation of the gearbox output
For angled geared motors, the gearbox output is to the right as standard (when viewing the
motor shaft extension from the front).
