OPERATING MODES
The reader can operate in one of several scanning modes.
NOTE: See the PRG for further information on the
operation of reading modes, and additional pro-
grammable features.
On Line —
pushed or through an external trigger (GFS4550 only).
Serial On Line —
through the host interface (manual and external triggering
can be enabled in this read mode through option setting).

Always on
Object Sense
when an item is placed in reader's field of view.
Test mode —
in different colors depending on the Good Read rate of the
current barcode.

"Always On" corresponds to "Automatic" operating mode in previ-
ous Gryphon GFS4400 series.

"Object Sense" corresponds to "Automatic (Object Sense)" operating
mode in previous Gryphon GFS4400 series.
