ALWAYS wear safety goggles or protective eye-wear when operating the unit!
1. Unpack the RollMaster™ 5000 chassis assembly, roller carrier, handle assembly, pail, and parts
bags. The major components are held together with ¼" diameter bolts in ¾" length, and 5/16"
diameter bolts in 1-1/2" lengths with lock nuts and washers.
2. Place the wheels of the chassis on a flat surface. Lay the handle assembly behind the unit (pail
holder end) with the grips pointing downward, and the bottom of the handles toward the unit.
3. Mount the bottom end of the handle assembly on the rear of the chassis (handles fit on the
outside) with two 5/16" x 1-1/2" bolts with washers, from under the inside of the chassis, out.
Install lock nuts on the bolts on the outside of the handle assembly, but do not completely
tighten. Note: There are no washers on the outside of the handle assembly.
4. Swing the handles into the upright position. Rotate each handle brace up (on the outside of the
handle assembly) and align the hole with the hole in handle assembly. Insert 5/16" x 1-1/2" long
carriage bolts in each hole from the outside. Install and tighten lock nuts on each of the carriage
bolts, and then fully tighten the bottom handle assembly bolts. Route the trigger wiring harness
between the rear axle and chassis, toward the battery cover. Push the end of the harness up
through the grommet in the chassis and into the battery area.
5. Remove the four bolts and washers securing battery cover. Slide cover up and off of the
machine and set it aside.
6. Remove the two wing nuts that secure the battery hold down plate. Remove the plate. Place
a new battery on the chassis between the battery hold down bolts, with the battery terminals
positioned to the rear of the machine. Install the
battery hold down plate and secure it with the wing
nuts.
Install the positive side first when installing
connections.

7. Attach the
red
wire lead from the paint trigger
harness and the
red
wire lead from the battery
charger to the top of the positive terminal side of
the battery.
8. Attach the black wire lead
from the paint trigger harness to the bottom post of
the pump motor. (Marked with a
