1-4．PRECAUTIONS WHEN STORING AND TRANSPORTING
(1) Storage
*The compressor should be stored in a clean, dry place.
*The compressor is a horizontal type. It should be transported and stored in a horizontal
position.
*Do not store the compressor outdoors or in a place where water-drops from the
circumferences are poured on to the compressor.
The following harmful influence may occur in conditions where water-drops are poured:
・Corrosion on the surface of the compressor (rust or blisters)
・Water entry into the terminal box.
*The compressor should be stored in a double stack at most, based on the packing
specifications when shipping.
*The storage temperature should be within - 20℃ to + 50℃.
*The oil in this compressor is synthetic oil, and it has a higher moisture-absorbent than
conventional oil. Do not leave it open to the air for long periods of time; it should be limited
to within 3 to 5 minutes as a guide.
（2） Moving and Transportation
*Falling, dragging and giving impact during work are strictly prohibited. The compressor
should be handled carefully so as not to apply force locally to the convex part such as the
pipes, the power supply terminal box (including terminal plugs), or the legs. In addition, the
compressor should not be moved by holding the power supply terminal box.
*In the case of horizontal type compressors, they should be handled in a horizontal position at
the time of storage and transportation.
1-5．PRECAUTIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION
(1) Compressor to be used for Construction
*The compressor should be used within two years from the month of production stated on
the nameplate.
*A compressor that has been dropped should not be used.
(2) Place for Installation
*The compressor must not be installed and operated in the following places:
・A place where water-drops from the circumferences are poured on to the compressor or
humidity is high
・Within a chemical warehouse
・A place where the compressor is exposed to corrosive gas or salt breezes such as hot
spring spots and beaches
*If the compressor is installed and operated in the above places, the following harmful impact
may occur:
・Corrosion on the surface of the compressor (rust or blisters). In the worst case scenario, it
will result in the explosion of the compressor.
・Water entry into the terminal box. If this occurs when the compressor is in operation, it
will result in the leakage of electricity, the burnout of the compressor and fire.
・Electrical shock accident caused by the leakage of electricity
