1.RANGE OF APPLICATION AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
1-1.RANGE OF APPLICATION
(1) Introduction
*This compressor shall be used according to the specifications and specified conditions
described in this engineering manual, and it shall not be used based on other specifications.
Optional parts shall also be used as specified, and specified parts shall be used for service
as well.
*In the abnormal state such as phase interruption operations, the compressor may not be
protected by the motor protector or the discharge gas thermostat. Accordingly, be sure to
follow the range of application prescribed in this chapter. If you use it outside the range of
application, the compressor will be damaged and its product life will be shortened.
(2) Usable Refrigerants
Usable refrigerants for this compressor shall be R134a only. Refrigerants other than the
specified one shall not be used because they can cause malfunctions. In the case of
flammable refrigerants, it may catch fire.
(3) Saturated Temperature Range
With regard to the saturated temperature range, the compressor shall be used in the range
stipulated in Clause 6 "Working Range (Pressure and Temperature)" of the specifications.
(4) Pressure Ratio
The pressure ratio of the discharge gas to the suction gas of the compressor expressed by
the absolute pressure basis should be within the following range:
*The minimum should be 2.0 or higher, and the maximum should be lower than 7.5.
limitation may not be applied for a short time (approx. 30 seconds or less) operation, such as
pull-down or starting operation. Refer to Clause 6 "Working Range (Pressure and
Temperature)" of the specifications for details.
(5) Degree of Superheat of Suction Gas
The degree of superheat of suction gas should be 5K or more, and the upper limits shall be set
as values that will not exceed the limits of the discharge gas temperature.
(6) Discharge Gas Temperature
The discharge gas temperature measured at the surface of the compressor discharge piping
should be lower than 120℃.
(7) Degree of Superheat of Discharge Gas
The degree of superheat of discharge gas should be +15K or more of the saturated
temperature corresponding to the discharge gas pressure.
(8) Compressor Casing Temperature
The compressor bottom part temperature should be within the following range:
The casing temperature should be +15K or higher than the condensing temperature. The
maximum should be lower than 120℃.
When you start the compressor under the condition where the outside air temperature is
-10℃ or less, which will lower the oil temperature and casing temperature in the compressor,
a crank case heater may need to be installed.
(9) Motor Winding Temperature (Measures in the Resistance Method)
The temperature of the motor winding should be lower than the following limits:
* 115℃ or lower at the standard working conditions, and
* 135℃ or lower (maximum allowable) under the entire operating range.
