Addressing

The ECU uses two addresses on the addressable loop. These are configured
using the Extinguishing Relay and Relay DIP switches on the ECU main board
(see Figure 8 below).

Any two addresses may be used but the two addresses must be at least twenty
apart as security against short-term random noise interference.
The fire alarm control panel identifies the extinguishing relay address as an
extinguishing unit. The switches are numbered 1 to 7 and may be configured to
represent addresses from 1 to 127.
A switch represents a particular value when ON (an OFF switch represents 0).
To configure the address of a device, add the switch values for all the switches
which are ON. Note that the DIP switch number is not the DIP switch value – see
Figure 9 below.
