Daily Checklist for the DR 10 HP CHIPPER
To help maintain your DR 10 HP CHIPPER for optimum performance, we recommend you follow this
checklist each time you use your machine.
[ ] OIL: With the machine on a level surface, check the engine oil level with the dipstick and add more
if necessary (only add oil to the level indicated on the dipstick - DO NOT OVERFILL). Use
SAE 30 high detergent motor oil.
[ ] GAS: Fill the gas tank with clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline.
[ ] ENGINE AIR COOLING SYSTEM: It is very important to keep the engine clean of debris. Remove
[ ] CHIPPER HOPPER: Inspect the Chipper Hopper for accumulated debris.
[ ] KNIFE: Inspect the Chipper Knife for tightness, nicks and wear.
[ ] WEAR PLATE: Check the Wear Plate for nicks; the edge should be square.
[ ] BELT: Check the condition of the Drive Belt for nicks and cuts.
[ ] GENERAL CONDITION: Check the general condition of the machine, e.g.; nuts, bolts, welds etc.

before, during, and after you chip. Regularly remove debris
from the blower housing and cooling fins. A dirty engine retains
heat and can cause damage to the internal engine parts.
