The pool will therefore have to be in a "funnel-shaped" hole with horizontal base plate. One may choose to
provide the inclined ground walls in various ways. For example, with bricklaying or another, it stands no ma-
jor role, just make sure that the pool is always free in the hole. We recommend to ask a construction expert
on how this should be done in the best way for your site.
It is recommended to complete this in-ground use by building a pool deck in wood around the pool. Close to
the pool this pool deck is supported with poles placed in a ring about 20-30 cm from the pool edge. In this
way, you get an "in-ground" pool at ground level with a surrounding pool deck, where it is comfortable to
move and relax.
Option 2: Construction without pool deck in wood
Some pool owners choose to construct an in-ground pool in a more traditional way. If so the pool must be
constructed as aforesaid on the base plate and the pool and filter system must be connected with reinforced
flexible hose or alternatively with hard pvc pipe. The filter and the pump must be placed in an in-ground se-
parate shaft which must have enough space for the ongoing effortless handling. Remember to take the posi-
tion of the skimmer, return in-let and ladder into consideration.
Installation:
Follow the instructions in the manual so that the pool is constructed in the same way as if it was standing
freely on the ground. The pool is connected to the filter system with hard PVC pipe or with reinforced pool
hose.
Fill the pool with water. When your pool is filled with water, always do it with a standard garden hose, so the
liner in your pool gets the needed time to expand as it should. Please note you should never fill your pool
with water from a fire truck or similar because the water filling can be too strong and this may damage your
pool.
Place several layers of insulating material 20 mm (Styrofoam) around the pool wall. Insulation is secured with
tape. This insulating cover must completely isolate the pool wall from any direct contact with sand, concrete
or other materials.
The gap between the land and the edge of the pool must be filled with dry concrete, in a mixture of 1/5 ce-
ment and 4/5 of fine gravel without stones. Firstly always remember to fill the pool with water. This work must
be done in stages. Make approx. 30 cm at a time all the way around up the pool every time. Do not tamp the
material very hard as it can put pressure on the pool wall and cause dents.
Note that if you choose to install an oval pool in-ground in this traditional way it is always imperative to esta-
blish supporting walls on each long side of the pool to relieve the inward pressure from the ground.
Maintenance of pool:
You must check that your pool is in perfect condition. The liner must be clean, pool hoses must be properly
connected, the ladder must be properly set up and the filter system must work without problems.
Remember to check the water pH and chlorine value is properly adjusted so that the water is kept fresh and
disinfected.

Winterizing
When summer ends or bathing season is over, follow these instructions to make the pool ready for winter.
This is normally done in October.
