• Investigate machine issues before visiting the customer site by
monitoring service alerts. The notification settings can be adjusted by
your dealership within the UGW Web Portal or the integration
application. This enables the service technician to visit the customer
with service alert information and necessary parts, thereby, reducing
revisits by the service technician due to the unavailability of service
parts and to resolve simple issues over the phone, which reduces the
need for an on-site service visit.

2. UGW SnapShot

The UGW SnapShot tool consolidates commonly used data from the UGW
into a format accessible from an Internet capable device (mobile phone,
tablet, or a personal computer).
Service technicians can utilize this tool to check device status prior to a
service call.
Refer to the Canon eSupport Center Web site, reference the Tech Support
Tab and then the SnapShot sub tab for more information about UGW
SnapShot and to access to the tool.

3. eService Cost-Per Use Program

The eService platform is available to Canon Service Authorized Dealers at
no cost. It provides the ability to remotely obtain service and usage
information from imagePROGRAF devices. This program offers a
comprehensive dashboard that displays printer service and usage data,
via a local data collection agent, needed to provide a managed print service
program.
The platform remotely receives data from an imagePROGRAF printer
about its service status, parts and consumables usage and remaining
consumables levels.
This enables the Dealer to:
• Remotely monitor the printer uptime, to anticipate maintenance
requirements and replenishment of ink tanks, media, maintenance
cartridges and print heads.
• Remotely retrieve the amount of ink consumed to set up a billing
structure based on the millilitres of ink consumed as measured by the
LFP Monitor application.
Note: An agreement with the end user is required to, connect the printer to
the cloud based imagePROGRAF LFP Monitor system.
