The measurement of the LCL is performed on the EUT port for each pair separately. For
connecting the pair to be measured with the LCL balance measurement bridge the
Adapters ENY41+81 RJ45 to 1mm „A-8-0-P1", „A-8-0-P2", „A-8-0-P3" and „A-8-0-P4" or
ENY21 RJ45 to 1mm „A-2-0-RJ45" and ENY21 RJ11 to 1mm „A-2-0-RJ11" have to be
used. All free symmetrical pairs are terminated with 100 C resistors. Between network and
LCL balance measurement bridge a ground connection must be established.
The nominal values for the LCL are given in CISPR 22 and are related to the required
cable category. The set-up for measuring the LCL is shown in Figure 17. For R&S
ENY81-CA6 it is shown in Figure 18.

For ENY81-CA6 a measurement on one pair comprises two single measurements for
both the pair to be measured in normal position using the RJ45 jacks „A-8-CAT6-P1",
„A-8-CAT6-P2", „A-8-CAT6-P3" or „A-8-CAT6-P4" and in crossed position using the
RJ45 jacks „A-8-CAT6-P1x", „A-8-CAT6-P2x", „A-8-CAT6-P3x", or „A-8-CAT6-P4x".
The specification according to CISPR 22 have to be met taking the mean value of the
two measurements for each individual pair.
