2.5 Longitudinal conversion loss (LCL)

The test set-up is calibrated with the measurement cables connected as shown in
Figure 13. See FULL-TWO-PORT calibration (TOSM) of the network analyzer.

Normalization of the LCL balance measurement bridge is performed using the
Calibration Load „A-CALLOAD" (LCL = 0 dB) as shown in Figure 14.

Validation of the LCL balance measurement bridge is performed using the Reference
Load „A-REFLOAD" (about 55 dB) as shown in Figure 15. The displayed value should
correspond with the printed reference value on the reference load.

The inherent balance of the LCL balance measurement bridge can be measured using
the Termination Load „A-TERMINATION" (100 C) as shown in Figure 16.
