Introduction

The ST2416S is a one-way, full-range loudspeaker
featuring an enclosed 70.7V / 100V transformer with
0.5W, 1W, 2W, 4W, 8W, and 16W taps and an 8-ohm
bypass, selectable via a rotary switch.
Models
The ST2416S SpeakerTile
acoustically-identical models that offer a selection of
standard three-dimensional patterns or factory-applied
surface finishes that match most common suspended
ceiling tile patterns. The front surface of the
SpeakerTile can optionally be finished on-site with any
water-soluble finish — such as latex paint — or covered
with light wallpaper, fabrics and selected texture
coats*, further enhancing its ability to blend invisibly
with almost any interior design choice.
[*Please contact Sound Advance before applying any
textured coating, light wallpaper or fabrics]

Applications

The ST2416S can be installed-into
T-bar suspended ceiling systems in new or existing
construction. The supplied hardware allows either flush
or tegular mounting.

Recommended Mounting Locations

The ST2416S provides outstanding performance and
economic advantages when installed in the following
types of environments:
• With an ambient noise level at or below 75dBA,
• Where the speakers can be placed between 8 and 18
feet above the floor, and
• That are large enough to accommodate at least 4 or
more conventional loudspeakers.
When system design requirements indicate speaker-to-
speaker distances of greater than 40 ft, please contact
Sound Advance for additional technical information.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The ST2416S Series SpeakerTile is
designed to be easily installed in standard suspended
ceiling systems, completely replacing a standard 2' x 2'
ceiling tile. It is suitable for
grids, flush (lay-in) or non-flush (tegular) mounting.
However, if the loudspeaker is to be installed on a
tegular (non-flush) mounting
front surface of the diaphragm must be factory-routed
in order to drop below the ceiling grid.
In such cases Sound Advance will make every effort to
match
the
SpeakerTile
customer's ceiling tiles; however, our standard tegular
routing is a 90-degree angle cut. We cannot match
tegular tiles with beveled, chamfered or angled cuts.
