Troubleshooting
Below you'll find the known issues which still cause us nightmares, although thankfully not too often!
While using SlingPlayer Mobile, if you encounter any problem, please use

Known Issues

Video and Audio Jittery in Low Bandwidth Environment

In low bandwidth environments, it takes longer to optimize streaming. Audio and video may be jittery
occasionally, and switching between viewing modes may also take longer. Please note that the
minimum network download speed required for SlingPlayer Mobile is 120 Kbps, and an Internet
connection that is either 3G Cellular, Wi-Fi, or USB/Bluetooth-based.

Longer Optimizing Time in Low Bandwidth Conditions

Especially in a low bandwidth environments, optimizing at the start of each stream may occasionally
take a while longer. If no video is seen and/or audio is heard, exit the application and try to
reconnect.

Mode Transition

Transitioning from portrait to landscape and vice-versa, and from Normal to Audio-Only Player
Mode, may take a while longer in low bandwidth environment.

Graphics Refresh

For some devices, graphics and soft key text may take longer to refresh due to relatively low
processing power.

PAL Slingbox Compatibility

It is a known issue that SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Smartphone is not compatible with PAL
Slingbox. PAL is the common video standard in Europe.

Missing Favorites

Unfortunately, customers who tried the SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Smartphone BETA during
the initial public beta will find their Favorites settings removed after updating the software on their
phone to the 1.0 version.
Refer "Favorites" on page 23 for information on adding Favorites.

Audio/Video Hiccups While Switching Inputs

The audio or video stream may stutter while switching between different inputs on your Slingbox.
This is most likely to occur when you are using SlingPlayer Mobile in a low bandwidth environment.
