5: Customizing SlingPlayer Mobile

You can customize your SlingPlayer to suit your preferences. You can add Favorites so that you can
access channels and controls more quickly. You can also adjust other options to customize your
viewing experience.

Favorites

If you have certain channels that you frequently watch, or certain remote functions you frequently
use, you can easily add them as Favorites. This saves you time and effort in reaching them.
SlingPlayer Mobile allows you to have a separate group of Favorites for every input/device. This
means, for your DVD, you can have a set of Favorites and another set for your cable TV. SlingPlayer
Mobile knows what you are watching and seamlessly integrates the Favorites of that device.

Adding/Editing Remote Function Favorites

You can add 16 different Favorites (remote function and channel combined) for each connected
device.
1. While streaming, select Menu > Edit Favorites.
Alternatively, press # to display the Favorites Bar and navigate to an empty icon. Press and hold
the center navigation key.
The Favorites Editor screen opens.
2. Use the up/down navigator keys to select a Favorite Icon.
3. Then use left/right navigator keys to select a remote function.
You can also press the center navigator key to scroll up or down through the entire list of
available remote functions for a Favorite.
4. Select Done.

Adding/Editing Channel Favorites

You can add 16 different Favorites (remote function and channel
combined) for each connected device.
1. While streaming, select Menu > Edit Favorites.
Alternatively, press # to display the Favorites Bar and navigate to an
empty icon. Press and hold the center navigation key.
The Favorites Editor screen opens.
2. Use the up/down navigator keys to select a Favorite Icon.
3. Then use the right navigator key to select Add Channel.
4. Press the center navigator key.
The Add/Edit Channel screen appears.
5. Select Custom Channel if you do not want to select a channel with
a logo.
• Custom Channels. If you want text instead of a logo to appear on the Favorites Bar.
