4: Getting to Know SlingPlayer

SlingPlayer is a simple application that lets you watch your TV on a PC. This chapter will help you get to
know the application and the various UI components.

SlingPlayer User Interface

SlingPlayer can be customized using skins and so the screenshots shown here could differ from your
application. We have used SlingPlayer 1.0 Classic skin for all examples. See "Skins" on page 72 for
information on how to change skins.
The figure below shows the basic layout of the SlingPlayer. For information pertaining to each control, see
