Important
For optimal performance, it is strongly recommended that you
connect the bridges directly to a wall outlet. Do not connect
them to a power strip or extension cord.

Connecting Slingbox to a Wireless Network

Slingbox cannot wirelessly connect to your home network by itself. However, you can connect
Slingbox to an existing wireless network using an Ethernet-to-wireless bridge (or a wireless game
adapter) and use your wireless laptop around the house. You must have a wireless home
network for this setup.
1. Set up your bridge to work with your existing wireless home network before you connect
Slingbox to your bridge. (It is recommended that you test the bridge where you plan to use
Slingbox. Wireless networks vary in signal strength from location to location.)
2. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Network connector on Slingbox and to an Ethernet jack
on your wireless bridge.
Make sure to follow the installation instructions that come with the equipment that you
purchase.
Important
If your router requires MAC address authentication, you may
need to add Slingbox's MAC address to your router
administration screens. The MAC address is printed on the
bottom of Slingbox.
