Service Diagnostics and Procedures
Ignition Module
The unit uses an ignition module to supply power
for the igniters. A 9 VDC battery is used to supply
the power. Once the ignition switch is depressed,
voltage is sent to the igniters and a spark is
generated.
To access the ignition module:
1. Access control panel components (see Control
Panel Components Access section, page 14).
2. Locate ignition module.
3. Remove two screws securing ignition module.

4. Slide module out and disconnect wiring.

5. Reverse procedure to reassemble.

Each position provides spark to a different
component of the grill. Verify the 9 VDC battery is
proper. If voltage is proper and no spark is present
at the igniter, check the switch, igniter, and wiring.
If all check good, replace the module.
