Make sure to insert the card with the notched part forward. Otherwise,
the card and the computer may be damaged.
If the dialog box asking you What do you want Windows to do? appears, select the
task you want.
The color of the
indicator means:
Gray : no card in the slot
Green : able to access the card or able to eject the card
Red : reading or writing the data from/into the card
Ejecting a Smart Media Card
• Do not remove the card nor turn off the computer when the
on the taskbar is red. Otherwise, the smart media card or the data
stored on it may be damaged.
• Be sure to follow the instructions below when ejecting a smart media
card. Otherwise, the system may not work properly.

Click start – My computer.
2.
Right-click Removable Disk(F:); then, Eject.
Make sure to right-click Removable Disk (F:), not Removable Disk (E:).

Push the smart media card into the computer. The card slightly pops out. The
indicator on the taskbar turns to gray from green.
