Distance Warning*
The Distance Warning function can assist the
driver to notice that the time interval to the vehi-
cle ahead may be too short. This requires the
car to be equipped with a head-up display* to be
able to display Distance Warning.

up display.
In cars equipped with head-up display, a symbol
is shown on the windscreen for as long as the
time interval to the vehicle ahead is shorter than
the preset value. However, this assumes that the
Show Driver Support
function is activated via
the settings in the car's menu system.
Distance warning is active at speeds

Even if the car is not equipped with a head-up
display, a warning light appears on the wind-
screen and shines steadily if the time interval to
the vehicle in front is shorter than a preset value.
NOTE
Strong sunlight, reflections, extreme light con-
trasts, the use of sunglasses, or if the driver is
not looking straight ahead may make the vis-
ual warning signal in the windscreen difficult
to recognise.
NOTE

time the adaptive cruise control (ACC
Pilot Assist is active.
WARNING

dow to the vehicle ahead is shorter than the
preset value – the speed of the driver's vehi-
