The coil has four main parts: the coil head, handle, cable and connector (as shown in Figure 3.1 ).

3.1.1
D70° and D70° (Coated) Coils
These coils (as shown in Figure 3.2a and Figure 3.2b) have a figure of eight shape winding in the coil
head. Energy is discharged through this copper winding when the stimulator is triggered. The current
that flows through the winding generates a magnetic field and a corresponding electrical field (see
figures in Section 6).
